I've been running Andi Watson Photography for a couple of years now, and I'm always looking for new products and services to offer my clients. I've introduced a couple of new wedding albums in the last year and I've now ventured into wedding videography!
I've recruited an exceptionally talented (and award winning!) videographer who is based in Edinburgh. He specialises in capturing the magical little moments that make your day so special, and turning them into a film. The finished product has a real cinematic quality and is the perfect reminder of your wedding day.
We're offering specially reduced rates for clients who are also getting their photography through Andi Watson Photography.
Here's an example of the look and feel that we can create for your big day:

Last month I photographed the wedding of Claire & Arthur. I had a great time, and have some great photos to share!

The ceremony was at Park Circus in Glasgow, a venue I've been photographing a lot recently. The couple were ably supported by their wedding party, including a wee flower girl and page boy who did a wonderful job!

As is the case with most Scottish summer weddings the rain was a constant threat, but we managed to get out at a couple of different points during the day and captured some great moments between the couple.

The highlight of the day for me was the First Dance. It started normally enough with Claire & Arthur waltzing together, but it quickly became a mass flash mob style group dance with everyone joining in!

Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Samantha & Michael's wedding. The ceremony was held at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Musselbrough, Edinburgh, a beautiful old Catholic church. The couple were supported by a large crowd, including their wee boy, Lennon. Babies always provide wonderful pictures at weddings!

The reception was then at Heriot-Watt University which has beautiful grounds perfect for wedding photography and, rare for a Scottish summer wedding, the rain held off!

Sometimes weddings can be stressful affairs - they can take years to plan and herculean organisational talents to make everything run smoothly. The potential for something to go wrong and "ruin" the special day can prove too much for some couples and they end up stressing more than enjoying themselves. But I knew that, no matter what happened on the day, Jacqui & Steve would be smiling. It's great working with such a chilled-out and relaxed couple who were always up for a laugh - even as the rain poured down!
The weather may not have been kind to us, but the bride & groom's laid-back attitiude set the tone for what was a fantasic day. We did manage to get a 10 minute window for some shots outside and we made the most of it by taking advantage of the beautiful grounds at Culcreuch Castle. I know some photographers who refuse to photograph weddings as they find the whole event just too stressful. Luckily I don't feel the same way - I genuinely enjoy the drama and excitement of the day. . .I don't think I'd be able to do this job if I didn't! However, I have to admit that I found last week's wedding a little more stressful then normal. This had nothing to do with the couple (Summer & Pete were a delight to photograph!) but was down to the fact that Rebecca was 6 days overdue and our wee baby could be born at any minute! Things then got more stressful when I got a text from Bec saying that she was going to be induced later that evening! Thankfully I managed to focus enough to capture some great photos of the day, and still got home in time to witness the birth of my beautiful wee boy (photos of him coming soon!).
Having a Plan B is always crucial in wedding photography, and so I had my fellow photographer and good friend Alan Davidson along with me to help capture the day. The wedding took place at Lochside House Hotel in Ayrshire which is a stunning venue. The rain held off long enough for us to get all our photographs outside, which was great as there is some lovely views from the hotel grounds.
Summer had help getting ready from her lovely band of bridesmaids and Pete looked very proud, and rightly so. It was a very emotional ceremony with both bride & groom struggling to hold back the tears. Always nice to see a groom in touch with his emotions!
